Gall stones are a result of excess cholesterol in our bodies. Cholesterol is produced only by animals and we humans make all the cholesterol that we require. But when we consume animal products, we also consume extra cholesterol and fat which can lead to problems like gall stones.
If the gall stones are not a problem and do not cause pain, then it is best to let them be and not rush into surgery. The best would be to change your diet to whole food plant-based and the stones may even shrink and eventually disappear.
However, if the stones are painful then you may need surgical intervention to avoid emergencies at a later stage.
