Red Bean Pâté

Ingredients

  • 400 g cooked red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1 tsp chives (optional, you may substitute chives with spring onion greens)
  • Unrefined salt and ground pepper to taste

This recipe is adapted from The Complete Scoffer by Ronny. It is extremely easy to make and tastes great.

Either take all the ingredients in a food processor or blender and whizz for a minute (you might need to add a little water if it is rather sticky), or mash the beans in a bowl with a potato masher and then stir everything else in.
