I don’t fall sick like I used to before!

I had both blood pressure, high cholesterol and blood sugar. I was taking a handful of tablets and every six months or one year, my tablet dosage was being increased. I then signed up for a consultation with Dr Nandita Shah. My bp was 160/100 and within four days of changing my diet, it came to 120/80!

It’s been four years since I have been on a plant based diet. I used to take five tablets for BP and cholesterol and now take half a tablet and I take one tablet for diabetes. I don’t fall sick like I used to before. I have not had paracetamol or antibiotics during this period. I had covid and recovered without a tablet! I work out five days a week. I feel I have more strength and endurance than I had twenty years ago! In fact I am still getting stronger.

I also compete in Trap shooting at the Nationals Championship. This is shooting flying targets so needs high reflexes, hand eye coordination and l am winning medals in the national level. At the age of 71 years, in my last bimonthly assessment at the gym, my trainer mentioned that I have performed better than many 45 year olds! This is all to be attributed to the plant based diet, working out at the gym and leading an active lifestyle.
